The Support Services Subject Matter Expert will provide formal advice and input in the development and implementation of a specific department, service, and/or process plan(s). Refine the service model and scope of service
Assess the impact of the current design on patient / work flows and define high level I.T. requirements
Assess impact of clinical services &amp;ldquo;ramp up” on department services (including equipment selection and procurement)
D efine staffing needs (mix, educational requirements, etc) and servicing options
Define on-going departmental operations including projected volumes / utilization, service goals, service standards, hours of operation, productivity goals, supply chain needs / requirements and information technology needs.
Develop departmental policies and procedures and produce work flows and forms.
Develop reporting requirements.
Develop training and communicational documents.
Determine overall operating requirements including major fixed equipment, equipment / supplier and staffing level plan.
Provide feedback and input to continued design activities.
P rovide advice and support as needed throughout 2009/2010 as the above plans are implemented.
Develops the installation, operation and maintenance plans for equipment including dispatch consoles, radio systems, computers and other data and equipment interfaces.  
Responsible for the repair plan of these systems utilizing appropriate vendors. Researches and makes recommendations for the upgrade options of the communication systems listed above.


QUALIFICATIONS
Education

         Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or equivalent.

Experience &amp; Skills

Extensive knowledge in the specific department, service and/or process.
Track record of &amp;ldquo;planning &amp; implementation” in the relevant area.
Ability to identify and implement &amp;ldquo;best practices” in the relevant area.

Molecular Biology Supervisor 

Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent, to include a one-year internship in a hospital clinical laboratory in the country of origin. Additional degree/diploma in the field of medical microbiology / molecular biology / biotechnology with molecular biology related to medicine, especially in the field of medical diagnostics, is highly desirable. 
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Board of Registry registration in Medical Technology in the country of origin. Registration must be current at the time of employment. 
Professional Experience: Five (5) years’ full-time employment in the molecular biology section of a clinical laboratory as a technologist. Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity. Should have an in-depth knowledge of common molecular biology protocols with hands-on experience and ability to troubleshoot problems associated with such protocols. Should have hands-on experience in handling automated molecular biology instruments and be able to train other staff in the section efficiently. Good communication skills in molecular biology techniques is most essential. Experience in handling protocols related to real-time PCR is required. 
Specialized Knowledge: Any relevant additional degree/diploma/specialized training will be noted at the time of employment and will be an added advantage. Evidence of publications in journals will be an added advantage and is preferable. 
Must have good oral and written English language skills and will be expected to speak English in the laboratory and on the nursing units at all times.

	<description>&lt;p&gt;We are looking for a &lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Business Operations Manager&lt;/span&gt; to join a 430 bed hospital in the Emirate Abu Dhabi Business Operations Manager&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;1. Summary Coordinate with the senior executive the development of an effective business management model across the Hospital and Family Medical Centres to ensure an effective transition to a private business model. Ensure the development of benchmark business and resource management reporting and monitoring tools in order to establish the organisation and key departments KPI’s. Ensure the effective integration the various new information systems that are key to the new business model. Support the continuous development of strong structures and competences in the field of budget preparation and forecasts, as well as new competences in cost control for the hospital and primary healthcare centres consistent with the transition to a private business model. Support the CEO with one off project management as required.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2. Responsibilities Transition to the Private Business Model Coordination of changes or improvements of automated financial and management information systems (implementation of an ERP, billing and purchasing system) in cooperation with the CFO and CIO (chief information officer) as well as the heads of other departments concerned in order to develop an integrated IT solution to provide consistent and transparent data. Assist the organisation to build a consistent culture that supports an effective business approach in all aspects of our business systems and performance management. Ensure timely flow of information and immediate reporting of concerns and discrepancies to the CEO and senior management team. Benchmarking Development and implementation of appropriate benchmarks that will ensure Al Ain is an efficient and effective user of resources to meet its service requirements both within the UAE and internationally where appropriate. Support the internal process for the preparation of the budget according to the time frame and standards set by SEHA. Ensure the budget reflects the necessary strategic actions according to the business plan in order to meet the agreed KPIs. Support the development of an activity based budgeting process and creating transparency concerning cost drivers. Support the development of the budget capital plan in close cooperation with the departments concerned consistent with the business plan. Support the development of effective management control processes and tools in order to ensure cost containment within the budget and to meet the KPIs. Preparation of monthly variance reports on revenues, expenditures and activity to discuss with the heads of departments to visualise problems and weaknesses at an early stage. Development of necessary actions in communication with the CEO and appropriate senior executive. Development and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure a timely flow of information and data between other systems e.g. purchasing, inventory, facility management, pharmacy, human resources and the financial system in close cooperation with the departments concerned. Leadership Providing effective project leadership to ensure the effective transition to a private business model is meet on a timely basis. Ensure the effective integration of new information systems toward the organisations business objectives. Undertake seminars and training sessions as required to ensure key staff understand and support the new business model imperatives Provide support to ensure effective collaboration within the hospital ensuring a flow of information especially in business matters of common interest to other departments.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;3. Job specification Graduate in accounting or financial management. Preference would be to have an MBA but not essential. Experience should be in project management and business / financial management within a public and private US based hospital or system. I would like 5 years to show some progression in a career within the hospital business / financial management. Experience in change management in a business process with IT change. Experience in budget management and development. Good communication skills.
